“Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812” lidera indicações ao Tony Awards 2017

O musical Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 está no topo da lista de indicações ao Tony Awards 2017, a maior premiação do teatro nos Estados Unidos. Inspirado em trechos do clássico da literatura russa “Guerra e Paz”, de Leo Tolstoy, o musical tem como protagonista o cantor Josh Groban. Vale lembrar que o espetáculo ganhou uma montagem acadêmica no Brasil pelas mãos da Casa de Artes das Laranjeiras.

Na segunda posição em números de indicações está a remontagem de “Hello, Dolly”, estrelado pela atriz Bette Midler, com 10 indicações ao todo, seguido pela nova produção “Dear Evan Hansen”, musical indicado em nove categorias da premiação que conta da história de um jovem com transtorno de ansiedade social. Este espetáculo tem letras e músicas compostas pela dupla Benj Pasek e Justin Paul, vencedores do Oscar de melhor canção original pela composição de “City of Stars”, do longa “La La Land”. Neste ano, a apresentação do evento está nas mãos do ator Kevin Spacey em seu début como host da cerimônia.
